What water tablets do you news cos I’ve allways news filters
Great advice! All I’d say is avoid the boots and get proper trail shoes, like Altras or something similar, with a wide toe box. If waterproof is the aim, get waterproof socks. Boots take forever to dry out.
That said, I live in LA (pretty much a desert), so you’d know a lot better about wet weather in your neck of the woods! 😊😊
Keep the great content coming!
6. Modify your hiking goals depending on your current level of health and fitness. It’s not a competition.
For example: last year I could comfortably walk 10-12 miles per day, carrying a day sack. Now, while recovering from a hospital operation, I’m starting with half a mile per day on the flat. My goal is to build up to six miles per day after three months. But there’s no shame in taking longer, if necessary.
7. Wear appropriate headgear.
I always take a peaked cap and polarising sun glasses with me on my walks.
