I’m based in the East Midlands, UK and try to spend as many weekends possible hiking, exploring the outdoors, paddle boarding and capturing beautiful landscapes. New videos as often as I can!

God Bless! Amen!
I like just looking at nice things and getting fresh air. So I tend to just choose a distance and go on AllTrails for something nearby.
So interesting to see how people over seas approach hiking.
In South Africa, a good half of the population goes on casual hikes. We don’t even take a bag, just carry our water in our hand and walk for an hour or two. Sometimes we forget the water.
However, I’m part of a group now that’s very prepared. So bags, snacks, food, water and first-aid kit. Especially for 4+ hours.
Most routes are very well marked and it’s almost impossible to get lost. Very privileged!
You can make it as boring or fun as you want.
That being said if you’re planning on doing 15km+ you might want to plan a bit. If you want to backpack and camp, then you need a solid plan and gear.
I want to start hiking once I get my lungs better. I think it would be good exposure for my asthma. I’m starting pulmonary rehab soon to get my lungs use to life again.
You da real Hiking 🙂
