Beginner Hiking Tips

Four things I wish I did sooner as a hiker πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡ [save this for later]

Don’t make the mistakes I made with these fours tips 🫒

1. Getting dedicated hiking boots (or shoes). Having shoes with traction and durability makes all the difference. Your confidence will sky rocket
2. Finding a properly fitting backpack. I used to finish every hike with lower back aches and sore shoulders. Avoid this with the right pack!
3. Adding electrolytes to your water. This will reduce headache & fatigue caused by dehydration. Hiking with electrolytes is like a night and day difference 🀯
4. Packing lunch & snacks. If you feel fatigued (not to be mixed up with out-of-breath or soreness), you’re likely under-fueling. I aim to eat ~at least~ every 2 hours on a hike.
