Hilleberg tents seem worth it for winter. Durston may rule the AT now but in snow are they enough?
I tried the Rab Mythic Ultra in size Large. I’m 5’11” and 175lbs and it is a very close fit. I really can only wear a thin long sleeve shirt and a thin fleece and still feel not too cramped. Even then it fits closer than on Justin. It fits in the shoulders but it’s tight in the hips. I wish I got the XL. I’m not sure I trust how warm it can be when I can really only wear one warm base layer under it. I have a Rab Positron in Large and it fits way more spaciously. Any bigger and it would be too big. But this is great for cumulative layering to make use of all your layers from a weight and warmth standpoint. With the Mythic Ultra – I would have to take off several of my mid layers to allow it to fit. I have also tried the Rab Neutrino and it was very spacious as well. So there is a huge gap in fit between the cramped Mythic Ultra to the very roomy Positron and Neutrino. Whatever size you are in these last two, I highly recommend going up a full size if you want to try the Mythic Ultra.
For winter use I would have bought the X-Dome 1 with solid inner walls instead of mesh
Just curious, as much as I think it’s a good gesture, what’s the point of the poop bag? Where do animals poop?😅
